Two Boys Blu is run by Renee and Paula, who handle every placement personally, backed by fifty years of combined experience between them. Hand-selected clients - not a volume agency.
They came to me needing to breathe new life into their website. They wanted a new look, more energy, and a site that felt like the business they'd grown into since launch.
Their website hadn’t been touched since it was first built in WordPress when they launched the business in 2009. Last year, I migrated the website for Renee and Paula’s other business, Rpb Consulting, to Squarespace whilst we did a design refresh. So they asked me to move this site to Squarespace too so that all of their sites were on the same platform, under the same account.
They also wanted to refresh the layout and imagery, and ensure their messaging and services reflected the business they operate now, not the one they opened 17 years ago.
A one-day Website Sprint was the perfect way to deliver on this brief.

What I found
The old site was a one-page WordPress build - heavy blue, dense with text, built for an earlier version of the business. The message described services Two Boys Blu had grown past. The testimonials were years out of date. And Renee and Paula, the actual point of difference, were nowhere near the top of the page.
What changed
The homepage message, rewritten to describe who Two Boys Blu serves and what they do now
The services, brought into line with how the business has grown
The testimonials, replaced with current client proof
The visuals - new imagery, a refreshed colour palette and web-friendly typography, migrated from WordPress to Squarespace, with Renee and Paula moved front and centre
The result
Land on the site now and the business is obvious within seconds: boutique, founder-led, hand-selected. No “rebuild”, because a full rebuild is more than just a platform change. The underlying structure of the site remained the same, it just needed to catch up with the business already running underneath it.
